Recap: A Full Week of Building at ETHTaipei 2025 & ETHGlobal Hackathon

TL;DR
- Nodit sponsored a track at ETHGlobal Taipei with 29 project submissions, selected 5 winning teams, and supported developers through a hands-on workshop led by our DevRel, Damon.
- CTO Kihoon Nam gave a talk on blockchain knowledge infrastructure, highlighting our ontology-based product "Clair" and its real-world applications for AI integration.
- We co-hosted three developer meetups in Taipei with Base, HashKey Chain, and Rootstock, engaging directly with the Web3 builder community.
Greeting builders,
Spring has just arrived, and Team Nodit is glad to share some highlights from our recent trip to Taipei!
Over the past two weeks, we had the chance to connect with an incredible community of developers. And we must say that Taipei is one of the most vibrant, builder-rich cities we've ever experienced.
With 730 attendees from 43 countries, the energy was high, and the innovation even higher 226 projects were submitted, and only 8 made it to the finals. We’re thrilled to have been part of it with 29 submissions.

CTO Takes the Stage at Pragma: Bridging AI and Blockchain

With the hot topic that everyone talking about how to well mix AI agent in blockchain recently. Our CTO gave a talk on blockchain knowledge infrastructure, highlighting that it must meet three essential requirements: trustworthiness, interoperability, and scalability. He further explained why Nodit is well-positioned to tackle these challenges, also gave a detailed explanation on ontology-based approach product “Clair”.
So, what is ontology?
Ontology is a way of defining entities, their properties, and their relationships in a structured and meaningful way. In the context of blockchain, this means clearly organizing on-chain entities and their interactions, which not only enhances understanding but also makes the data more structured and machine-readable — especially useful for AI.
To illustrate this, our CTO referenced a recent hacking incident at Bybit. He explained that ontology provides a common vocabulary, enabling AI to seamlessly process both on-chain and off-chain data in a unified format. For example, when analyzing transactions across DEXs or bridges, ontology ensures that the structure of each transaction is consistent, making it easier to identify and understand the roles of the sender, receiver, and asset relationships.
In the end, this structured approach empowers AI to immediately grasp transaction intent and generate actionable insights, means a key advantage in the data-heavy world of Web3.

At the end of his talk, our CTO also highlighted real-world use cases for ontology-structured blockchain data. He emphasized that enterprises in sectors like finance, logistics, and compliance stand to benefit significantly. These industries often handle sensitive public blockchain data and face the risk of exposing critical information when operating in cloud environments.
To mitigate these risks, integrating structured blockchain data with AI models can not only help in predicting and preventing potential issues, but also in detecting anomalies before they occur — offering a proactive layer of intelligence and security in data-driven operations.

Big Days at ETHGlobal Taipei | April 4–7
ETHGlobal Taipei was buzzing with innovation, and Nodit was proud to be part of it as an official track sponsor!

Over the course of the hackathon, we saw 29 impressive submissions under the Nodit Track, with builders exploring creative ways to leverage structured blockchain data. Projects ranged from AI-integrated dashboards to cross-chain tooling to give a clear reflection of the growing demand for smarter, data-driven infrastructure in Web3.
To help participants make the most of our platform, our DevRel, Damon, hosted a hands-on workshop and live demo, walking builders through how to use Nodit’s infra tools effectively within their projects. The session provided practical guidance on how to query, visualize, and act on blockchain data that give a valuable head start for many teams.

After a competitive round of judging, we selected 5 standout winners who not only delivered high-quality builds but also demonstrated a strong understanding of Nodit's capabilities.

A big thank you to everyone who joined our track, attended the workshop, and built with Nodit. We truly appreciate your energy and creativity. We believe this hackathon was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with the developer community, offer mentorship, and witness incredible ideas come to life. Of course, we can’t wait to build together again at the next hackathon.
Nodit x Taipei | Co-Hosted Meetup Highlights (April 1–3)
As part of our amazing presence in Taipei, Team Nodit participated in three impactful co-hosted events leading up to Pragma and the ETHGlobal Taipei hackathon. Here's a recap of each event and the role we played in making them memorable:
📍 April 1 – Base Meetup Taipei

We had the pleasure of kicking off the week by co-hosting an inspiring meetup with the
Base ecosystem. Our CTO, Kihoon Nam, joined in-person for his first visit to Taipei, engaging in meaningful face-to-face conversations with builders, founders, and ecosystem partners. His presence helped foster deeper relationships and highlighted the importance of community-driven infrastructure growth in Web3.
📍 April 1 – HashSeek: Taipei Dev Meetup

On the same day, Marketing Manager Vicky Yip represented Nodit at the HashKey Chain Taipei Dev Meetup. She delivered a talk focused on Nodit’s mission and how our infrastructure is enabling data-driven decisions in Web3. The energy of the crowd and also filled with developers, students, and community leaders to make it a truly rewarding experience for the team.
📍 April 3 – Chain Reaction: Pre-ETHGlobal Dev Meetup

As a warm-up to ETHGlobal Taipei, Nodit participated in the Chain Reaction Dev Meetup — a pre-hackathon event bringing together early attendees and local developers.
Our DevRel, Damon, led a hands-on demo session, walking participants through how to leverage Nodit’s infrastructure smartly during the hackathon. His tutorial showcased how developers can structure blockchain data and integrate it into AI-driven tools, which will be central to our track in the ETHGlobal hackathon.
These three events gave us an incredible opportunity to connect deeply with the local builder community in Taipei, showcase Nodit’s technology in action, and provide hands-on support to developers ahead of the action-packed ETHGlobal Taipei 2025.
We’re just getting started, and more is on the way. See you at the next one!
